Posture Reset
This postural reset stretch, often referred to as Bruegger's Postural Reset is a simple exercise you can do throughout your day if you are working at a desk or find yourself leaning over alot.
When you hold a certain posture, the muscles and joints can become stiff and acclimated to that position. It is important to periodically reverse that position to loosen the tissues and improve the circulation.
If you are working at a desk, it can be helpful to take a mini-break with this exercise once an hour. If you are doing an activity where your posture is even more bent forward or there is some type of heavier work you are doing, it can be beneficial to do it more often.
It is better to do this exercise before you start being bothered by your posture but you can also use it to help recover when you are feeling the stress.
